about

This song is about two characters. The first few verses are from the perspective of someone in anguish. Followed by another character who tries their best to comfort their friend. The last line as the music fades is, "Child we adore you. Reach out, I will take your hand."

Photography by Stephen Douglas in collaboration with MilkDadd art.

lyrics

"REACH OUT"

Something's gone wrong
I'm so far gone
What's the use of starting over
Know it will all begin again
I haven't learned my lesson yet
Sincerely live with no regret

The light in me
Is fading quickly
Please don't let me go just yet
I beg!
I beg!
I beg!
I beg!
Memories flood
I feel like I'm drowning
Things I should have never said
People I should have never met
It's all coming back!

Why do you stare at me
As if I'm crazy
I'm not neuro-typical
Not a spectacle
Something to be laughed at
Or tossed in a cage

Please keep breathing
I know you are grieving
I promise you
You're not alone
No
No
No

You say the light in you
Is fading quickly
Well I see a forrest fire
That burns so bright it hurts
It hurts!
It hurts!
Honey dearest
We all hear your cries
See your pain
You're not alone
No
Not alone
No
Sinister solitude
May engulf you
But this shall pass
Storms always do

Child, we adore you
Reach out
I will take your hand
